Daniel lands new job at our Essex office
20 October 2014
Our Persimmon Homes Essex office has appointed a new technical director with a wealth of experience in the industry.
The 42-year-old sports fanatic is enjoying his new job and is looking forward to playing his part in meeting the need for new housing across the UK.
Daniel will be heavily involved in the very early stages of the house building process, including researching suitable sites, land buying and dealing with planning applications.
He said: “It’s a very busy job and there is lots to do. The aspiration of our business is to increase the number of units available right across the country to meet demand.
“We all know there is a need for suitable, high quality housing. It’s very satisfying being able to play a part in that and to help people get on the property ladder.
“It’s great to be working for such a big, well-respected company and I believe that my previous experience will stand me in good stead.”
Daniel, who has three children aged four, seven and 10, spent the first seven years of his career working within the planning department at the local authority.
He then spent another seven years working for a house builder before heading up an engineering consultancy for a decade.
Daniel now heads up a team of seven at Persimmon Homes Essex’s offices in Witham.
Away from work, Daniel is interested in a wide range of sports including golf and cycling. He has also completed his level two football coaching badges and is involved with his local junior team, Beacon Hill Rovers.
Phil Standen, deputy managing director at Persimmon Homes Essex, said: “Daniel brings with him a great deal of experience gathered over many years working in different roles.
“He is very enthusiastic and completely backs our aims of creating the houses that this country needs.
