Discounted homes for local people
10 March 2021
Local house hunters can snap up a new home at a reduced price thanks to a partnership between Persimmon Homes and East Suffolk Council.
The selection of two bedroom houses, at the Woods Meadow development in Oulton Broad, is offered to people who demonstrate eligibility through a connection to the local area and who would not otherwise be able to purchase their own home.
Michelle Baker, sales director for Persimmon Anglia, said: “Woods Meadow is growing into a popular and vibrant new community, with its own school and all the facilities of Lowestoft close by. “The properties we are able to offer at a discounted price are ideal for first time buyers or families, making the dream of home ownership achievable.”
Priced at £144,000, the homes are offered to buyers at 80 per cent of the full market value, making purchasing much more affordable. The buyer would wholly own the property but, if it is sold at a later date, they would only receive 80 per cent of the proceeds of the sale. Full terms and conditions are available from the marketing suite at Woods Meadow.
Michelle added: “Anyone interested in the properties can make an appointment with our sales advisor at Woods Meadow, who can give further information on the eligibility criteria for these homes and help with completing an application.”
