East Midlands offers £1,000 cash boost to Home-Start Norfolk

A charity which provides vital support to families with children aged 0-5 has received a donation from East Midlands region.
Home-Start Norfolk has received £1,000 from East Midlands.
The charity, whose Norfolk branch was established in 2017, provides help to families through their toughest times, ensuring that parents have the support they need to give their children the best start in life.
Home-Start Norfolk’s ethos is to allow families to develop self-resilience and increase confidence in coping with challenging situations and integrate within their own communities.
Each family’s package of support is tailored to their individual needs and circumstances, which might include poor mental health and wellbeing, physical health problems, a disability or additional needs, family breakdown, bereavement, or financial difficulties.
Nurturing support is delivered by trained volunteers who provide compassionate, emotional, and practical help to families, overcoming barriers and improving lifelong outcomes for young children and their families.
Sharna Martin, Fundraising Officer at Home-Start Norfolk said: “We are so thankful for the £1000 that Persimmon Homes has donated to Home-Start Norfolk. It is because of businesses such as this that we can continue to provide support to the local community.
“This funding will go towards the core cost of Home-Start Norfolk, helping to secure the charity’s future. At any point we have approximately 70 families waiting to receive our services, this funding, will enable us to work towards relieving families of their struggles swiftly and providing them with advice and support before a crisis occurs. We will be able to give more children a better start in life, #BecauseChildhoodCan’tWait”
