Ellesmere life caught on camera for competition
29 July 2014
There is still time for amateur local photographers to capture what they love about living in Ellesmere, for a chance to win up to £250.The photography contest, organised by Persimmon Homes West Midlands, invites enthusiastic amateur photographers of all ages to submit an eye-catching image that perfectly illustrates what is so special about North Shropshire’s town of meres and mosses, waterways and wildlife.
Individual prizes worth up to £250 are on offer, with categories for adults and children aged 12 years and under, in the competition.
Persimmon sales director Stephen Cleveley said: “Ellesmere offers so much to see, with the Mere and canal, woodlands walks and a bustling market town.
“As we are building new homes for local people at Waterside View, we wanted to celebrate all those things that make living in Ellesmere so special. So we are inviting residents to share with us the views and images that they love about the town and its surrounding landscape.
“The winning entries will be displayed in our marketing suite at Waterside View later in the summer.”
Keen snappers can email up to three photographs (jpeg format, maximum size 2MB each) to firstname.lastname@example.org – not forgetting to include their name, postal address, telephone number and age.
Each entry should include a description of when it was taken and why that particular view is important to the photographer.
The closing date for entries is midnight on Thursday 31st July 2014 and winners will be notified by Friday 29th August.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner up in each category, with the adult winner receiving £250 of vouchers and the second placed getting £50. The top prize for the 12 and under category will be £50 of vouchers, with £25 for the runner up.
Full terms and conditions can be viewed at the Persimmon Homes marketing suite at Waterside View, off Canal Way, where the company is building 64 new three and four bedroom houses.
