EMMA ADDS TO PROPERTY PORTFOLIO WITH ABERGAVENNY PURCHASE
25 January 2022

A property expert has taken advantage of the popularity of Abergavenny with young couples by buying a home as an investment at our Willow Court development.
Emma, 49, knows a thing or two about the property market having spent two decades as a lettings agent and, more recently, two years as a sales advisor with Persimmon.
Emma worked at our Willow Court site until recently when she decided to pursue a degree in surveying.
And she loved the development so much that she chose to buy a two-bedroom Alnwick style property with her partner, which she has now successfully let to a professional young couple.
Emma said: “Willow Court is a fantastic development. I loved working there.
“During the pandemic we saw lots of young couples buying there, especially those who worked in Bristol or Newport who either no longer needed to go to the office, or who didn’t mind the commute.
“They wanted somewhere rural within their price range but still within striking distance of the work prospects the cities offer.
"I was looking for an investment property so it was a no-brainer for me to use a company I knew at a development I love. We had a long list of really good applicants straight away.”
Emma, who owns another investment flat elsewhere, said she was impressed with the seamless buying process.
“Jordan, the sales advisor, is brilliant,” she said. “He made it a very easy and undaunting process.
“Craig is an excellent site manager and addressed all small issues very easily.
“Everything has gone very smoothly and now I have a solid investment and a steady income.”
There are, however, other opportunities to buy new-build homes in South Wales, either as an investment or to live in.
Carn Y Cefn in Ebbw Vale has now lunched with homes from £174,995 while work on the final phase at St Edeyrns Village in Cardiff has just begun.
