Final properties on sale at huge Bridgend development
08 June 2022

House hunters have been urged to act fast to secure one of the last remaining properties at the huge Parc Derwen development in Bridgend, as 14 years of construction work draws to a close.
Persimmon, as part of a consortium of leading builders, has constructed 1,600 properties across 200 acres at Parc Derwen in Coity – and only four houses are left to be sold on the final phase, Tir Y Bont.
Sharon Bouhali, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes West Wales, said: “Parc Derwen is one of the most ambitious projects we have been involved in. Work started in 2008 and, after two Jubilees and a pandemic, we are now nearing completion. A vibrant community has emerged in the area, including a school, shops and pubs.
“After 14 years of hard work, this really is the final chance for people to become part of the development as we’d expect these last few homes to be snapped up in the coming weeks.”
Persimmon’s Tir Y Bont phase launched at the start of this year and is made up of 106, two, three and four-bedroom homes. There are still several different house types to choose from at Tir Y Bont, including The Windermere, an attractive three-bedroom semi-detached house.
The Windermere has a bright kitchen/dining room with French doors into the garden, a front aspect living room and a large first bedroom with en suite.
The Government-backed Help to Buy – Wales scheme is available at Tir Y Bont, an initiative where buyers only need a five per cent deposit.
More than £5m was provided by the developers involved to fund the new primary school and community centre.
