First home purchased at our new Swindon development

Our brand new Swindon housing development has sold its first home.
The first property at our new Stanton Chase development in Swindon has been purchased with the buyer set to move into his new home by the late July.
It comes as we're making good progress on phase one of the development which is located on the edge of the suburb of Kingsdown in Stratton St Margaret, just north-west of the town centre. When complete, the site will provide 113 good quality homes for local people with thirty percent of those transferred to a local housing association partner.
The first house on Stanton Chase has been bought by a local man who was impressed by the three storey design, which has a comfortable level of space and privacy for himself and his teenage children. This is the second Persimmon home Mark Cooper will have owned, and he says he’s ‘delighted’ to be able to buy this brand new 3 bed home off plan.
Having signed for his brand new family home Mark Cooper said “I am delighted to be buying my second Persimmon home. Stanton Chase offers a mix of 2, 3 and four bedroom houses for local people with prices starting from £299,995. The sales office for the site is already open at Persimmon’s other Swindon development at Badbury Park, with the show home expected to launch at Stanton Chase next month.
Through the site, we will also deliver significant investment in the local area for the benefit of local people. We're contributing £100k for off-site sports provision, over £30,00 for a local travel plan, infrastructure improvements to Vickers Roundabout for better pedestrian and cyclist connectivity and a new offsite footpath west along Kingsdown Road linking South Marston to Swindon.
The development’s onsite open space has also been designed to create a sense of community and meet the needs of families with young children. All new homes at the site will come with EV charging points, and public charging points will be provided as part of the local centre building as we deliver a long-term, sustainable community.
