Firstbuy to assist househunters looking for houses for sale in Colchester

06 January 2016

Determined to step onto the property ladder but are concerned that you don’t have enough funds to do so? Heard the word FirstBuy but don’t completely understand what the new home moving scheme is all about?

If so, you need to pay a visit to Persimmon Homes’ Riverside Quarter development in Colchester where the Government-led 80 per cent FirstBuy scheme is now on offer and it’s good news for all military personnel as Forces homebuyers are being given top priority for housing help and will be amongst the first to benefit from the Government scheme.

Caroline Martin, field sales manager for Persimmon Homes Essex, is confident the initiative will help local househunters, especially those in the Forces looking for houses for sale in Colchester. She said: “As a Group Persimmon Homes has been given the largest allocation of properties through FirstBuy by the Government and we are delighted to be the only developer in Colchester to offer the scheme.”

FirstBuy is offered through equity loan funding of up to 20 per cent of the purchase price split equally between the Homes and Communities Agency and Persimmon, with purchasers being required to raise funding (a mortgage plus deposit) of at least 80 per cent of the purchase price.

Riverside Quarter hosts a beautiful collection of three bedroom housetypes. To find out more about the FirstBuy scheme, log onto www.persimmonhomes.com/firstbuy.

Caroline concludes: “Due to a limited supply of housetypes through the FirstBuy initiative at Riverside Quarter, I’d recommend househunters speak to our sales advisers sooner rather than later to find out how we can help find the home of your dreams.”

Riverside Quarter benefits from being surrounded by green open space, making up the conservation area which Persimmon has worked alongside Essex Wildlife Trust to create. For ease of access around the development and into Colchester’s centre, the homebuilder has created number of new riverside walks, footpaths and cycle ways. Riverside Quarter is also situated close to Castle Park, which offers a host of leisure pursuits for all the family to enjoy.
