Five reasons why Whitewood Park in Bristol could be an ideal place to call home

23 September 2020

Whitewood Park offers stunning two, three and four-bedroom homes on the outskirts of the ever-popular, oh-so-trendy city of Bristol.

Here Ellie, sales advisor at the development, explains what makes Whitewood Park special.

Location

Home to Banksy, John Cleese, Carol Vorderman and Noel Edmonds, there are few cities in the UK more ambitious, lively, vibrant and cosmopolitan than Bristol.

With rich history, fantastic shopping, and exceptional attractions, it’s a great place to call home.

Whitewood Park is found in Speedwell, an up-and-coming suburb of Bristol. Commuting into the city centre is easy via bus.

Days out

There is not much you can’t do in Bristol. Whether you like art museums or go-karting, zoos or nature reserves, it’s all there.

Lovers of live sport are well catered for with two professional football clubs to choose from, Bristol Rovers and Bristol City, while Bristol Bears compete in Rugby Union’s Premier League.

There are also plenty of bars, restaurants and cafés to enjoy on a lazy Sunday.

Education for all

There are a few educational establishments close to Whitewood Park - Speedwell Nursery School and Children’s Centre, Chester Park Junior School and the Bristol Brunel Academy. Bristol University is also nearby.

Shops – big and small

For day-to-day necessities, there’s a selection of local amenities including convenience stores and takeaways.

You won’t be short of options when it’s time for some serious retail therapy, with shopping centres such as Cabot Circus and Cribbs Causeway offering a huge choice of big-name outlets.

Those who like a quirkier shopping experience will be in their element as well, with plenty of choices on Wapping Wharf while art, antiques and interior designs can be sniffed out in the Victorian Clifton Arcade.

Gloucester Road has more independent shops than any other street in the country.
