Giving a helping hand to Wiltshire’s first time buyers
06 February 2013
Persimmon Homes Wessex has pledged its support to help first time buyers with the recent extension of the Government’s FirstBuy scheme.Wiltshire’s leading housebuilder will assist people looking to take their first step onto the property ladder by holding a series of FirstBuy 2 clinics on Saturday 9th February at all of its developments across the region.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “Any initiative that helps first time buyers take their first step onto the property ladder has to be welcomed.
“FirstBuy has proved hugely popular since it was launched earlier this year. It enables buyers to purchase a new home with a mortgage for 75 per cent of the property price. The rest is made up from a five per cent deposit made by the purchaser and a 20 per cent equity loan provided by Persimmon and the Government.
“The scheme won’t last forever and I would urge anyone interested to come and see us to find out more about this shared equity, low-deposit mortgage solution.”
Persimmon Homes is the first housebuilder to offer prospective buyers access to the Government’s FirstBuy 2 scheme and has a wide choice of homes available for first time buyers.
Persimmon’s FirstBuy 2 clinics will be held at Dauncey Gardens in Melksham, Castle Mead in Trowbridge, Hazel Ridge and Persimmon @Wichelstowe in Swindon, Roman Quarter in Salisbury and The Oaks in Calne on Saturday 9th February, 2013.
