Helping hand given to first time buyers
14 November 2012
Persimmon Homes Wessex has pledged its support to help first time buyers with the recent extension of the Government’s FirstBuy scheme.
The regional housebuilder will assist people looking to take their first step onto the property ladder by holding a series of FirstBuy clinics on Saturday 20th October at several of its Wiltshire developments.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “Any initiative that helps first time buyers take their first step onto the property ladder has to be welcomed.
“FirstBuy has proved hugely popular since it was launched earlier this year. It enables buyers to purchase a new home with a mortgage for 75 per cent of the property price. The rest is made up from a five per cent deposit and a 20 per cent equity loan provided by Persimmon and the Government.
“The scheme won’t last forever and I would urge anyone interested to come and see us to find out more about this shared equity, low-deposit mortgage solution.”
Persimmon Homes has been awarded the largest FirstBuy allocation of any housebuilder, meaning the company has a wide choice of homes available for first time buyers.
