Home offices high on Lancashire buyers’ wish lists

With no sign of an early lift to lockdown restrictions, a Lancashire property expert says there has been a considerable change in house hunters’ wish lists.
Diane Finch, sales and marketing director at our Lancashire region, has noted a marked increase in demand for properties with space for working or learning from home.
“More and more buyers are looking for an extra reception room or bedroom that can be used as a home office,” she said. “Our sales team has spotted a definite preference amongst the enquiries we receive at developments across the county. A great example of this is our Deerwood Park site in Colne, where the Chedworth style house is attracting a lot of interest."
“This has always been one of our most popular house designs, for its spacious and flexible living accommodation, but right now it is the separate dining room and fourth bedroom that makes it a real winner with buyers. Either can be transformed into a comfortable space to work or study, offering the perfect balance for busy families.”
The four bedroom Chedworth boasts a practical open-plan dining kitchen with French doors to the garden, a handy utility room and downstairs cloakroom, as well as an impressive front-facing lounge and the dining room-cum-office. Upstairs the main bedroom has an en suite and there is also a full family bathroom.
Currently at Deerwood Park, Persimmon has Chedworth style houses available from £245,000.
“Anyone who would like to explore the space for themselves can book an appointment to view our Chedworth showhome at Deerwood Park,” added Diane. “Our experienced sales advisor at the development can provide information on the buyer assistance packages available, such as our Home Change or Part Exchange schemes.”
Viewings at Deerwood Park are available only by appointment. To book call 01282 504 876 or visit the website.
