Houses for sale in Llanelli spark family affair at Persimmon Homes’ Ffos Las development
02 September 2011
The Ashtons have always been a very close family, but they’re taking things to a new extreme now that the only thing separating them is a garden fence.
Retired couple Stella and Roy were first to purchase a property at Persimmon Homes’ Ffos Las development in Trimsaran, then their son and his family quickly followed suit. With less than a minute’s walking distance between their front doors, and gardens that back on to each other, they could hardly be closer.
Stella, who is originally from Trimsaran, moved to Llanelli 20 years ago and met her husband Roy at the factory where they both worked. When the couple took their retirement recently they decided that they wanted to move somewhere a little more peaceful, and Trimsaran was the obvious choice when looking for houses for sale in Llanelli.
Stella and Roy purchased a spacious four bed Tawe house type, which features a light, airy entrance and hallway, a separate dining room and an en-suite in the master bedroom.
Stella said: “The Tawe is our dream house - we feel like we’ve finally got all the space we wanted. Roy and I love spending time with our family, so living in the same cul-de-sac as them is perfect. Now my grandchildren will grow up in the same town as I did! ”
Stella’s son Andrew Pritchard, his wife Bryony, and their two children, aged two and four, also decided to invest at Ffos Las, after seeing first-hand how friendly and attractive the development was.
Bryony, 25, said: “Ffos Las really appealed to us because it has such a safe, community feel. We’re happy to let the children play out in the front garden with their friends because everyone looks out for each other here. There are lots of nice country walks to do in the surrounding area and I think the pace of village life will suit us very well!”
Sharon Robinson, sales director of Persimmon Homes in Wales, comments: “I’m sure Ffos Las will be a wonderful place to bring up children. Llanelli can sometimes be a bit hectic so this development aims to provide a quiet corner of country living without being too far away from all the modern amenities that the town offers. I’d like to wish the Ashtons and the Pritchards all the best and hope that they’ll be very happy here for many years into the future.”
