Kinross Colts FC Juniors score early Christmas gift

A youth football team scored an early Christmas gift in the form of a £1,000 donation from Persimmon Homes North Scotland.
Kinross Colts FC Juniors, who play at Donaldson Park, have been fundraising for new equipment for the team to take their training to the next level. The group were presented with a cheque by Persimmon Homes North Scotland to help fund new bibs, balls and bags as well as clothes and cones for their training of over 400 players under the guidance of 58 volunteer coaches.
Kinross Colts FC, which works across Kinross-shire, has over 17 teams in operation ranging from men’s and women’s amateurs, to football clubs for 6 year olds, to those over 35. The club, which works closely with the Scottish Youth Football Association to promote the sport in Kinross-shire, has achieved the silver status quality mark accreditation from the SFA.
The £1,000 donation from Persimmon Homes North Scotland is part of their Community Champions Awards, which supports good causes in areas where the company builds new homes.

The club and coaches are doing fantastic work in the community engaging a variety of budding athletes regardless of age or gender.”
