Lakeside wins over Scunthorpe house buyers
03 December 2015
Persimmon Homes Yorkshire has launched the final phase at its Scunthorpe housing development early to keep up with demand in the area.
Work has begun on the collection of 68 homes at the Lakeside development, which will conclude the Persimmon construction at Lakeside Parkway.
Kevin Thubron, sales director at Persimmon Homes Yorkshire, said: “We always approach the final phase of a development with mixed feelings – joy at completing a project and seeing so many people settled into their new homes, but also a little sadness when we have been part of the local community.”
“During our time in Scunthorpe we have built and handed over the keys to 108 new homes and due to the demand for more new properties we are releasing our final collection much sooner than expected. As our current house designs have been so popular we have chosen to replicate the styles and build more of the same mix of two, three and four bedroom homes.”
Located three miles from Scunthorpe town centre and close to the retail park, Lakeside boasts all the amenities needed for daily life. Close to open countryside it offers excellent road and rail links to Doncaster, Hull, Lincoln and beyond making it convenient for residents to reach work, shopping and leisure facilities.
Kevin added: “The Help to Buy scheme has certainly aided many people at Lakeside, enabling first time buyers to purchase their dream home with just a five per cent deposit. However, buyers with existing properties to sell have found our Home Change or Part Exchange schemes to be beneficial in helping to save time and money when choosing and moving into a new home.”
