Law Primary School PTA receives fundraising boost from West Scotland
24 February 2023

The Parent Teacher Association of Law Primary School has been given a £1,000 donation from West Scotland region.
The PTA works closely with the faculty to fundraise for the primary school pupils to enhance their education. Having recently purchased new sports tracksuits for students, the PTA set their sights on fundraising for an upgrade to the school’s top attraction for pupils, the trim trail. Due to its popularity, the trim trail has deteriorated and is in need of an upgrade to ensure that students can make the most of the outdoor equipment.
Law Primary School PTA will benefit from £1,000 through our Community Champions scheme, which supports good causes in areas where we operate. The scheme has seen over £1.5m donated to local charities, clubs and organisations across the country since 2021.
Chris Logan, West Scotland Managing Director, said:
“I am delighted that we are able to support Law Primary School’s Parent Teacher Association, which has a fantastic track record of raising funds for projects that benefit the school’s pupils.
“The work of the PTA has already seen students benefit from new tracksuits and with their sights now set on improving the trim trail, Persimmon is pleased to make a donation to help upgrade the school’s outdoor equipment as soon as possible.
“At Persimmon, we work in collaboration with communities to leave a lasting legacy around our developments such as Clyde Valley Way in Law.”
Mhairi Burnside, member of the Law Primary School PTA, said:
"The Trim Trail assault course on the school grounds is extremely popular with Law Primary pupils. Due to its frequent use, it badly needs a number of repairs and upgrading.
“We will use the generous donation from Persimmon to reinstate and improve the much loved trim trail and ensure pupils can continue to enjoy their outdoor education.”
