Local Cricket Club Bowled Over by Sponsorship

Shepshed Cricket Club is celebrating after receiving fresh support from a local housebuilder.
At the start of the season, Persimmon Homes North Midlands pledged £3,000 to sponsor the club across the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The housebuilder has since gone further, donating an additional £1,000 to back the club’s summer event in August.
Established in 2015, Shepshed Cricket Club offers opportunities for all ages and abilities, with a growing number of junior and senior teams for men and women. Persimmon’s sponsorship will see the company’s branding on all playing shirts and boards around the ground.
The cheque presentation was attended by representatives of the club, local MP Dr Jeevun Sandher, and Nadine O’Dowd, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands.
Ian Blunt at Shepshed Cricket Club said:
“We are delighted and extremely proud to have Persimmon as our main sponsor for the 2025 and 2026 seasons across all of our mixed junior and senior sides.
“The sponsorship enables us to keep membership subscriptions at an affordable level ensuing that we are making cricket in our local community accessible to as many as possible. It’s this community spirit that is playing a huge part in our ongoing growth and success.”
Dr Jeevun Sandher, MP for Loughborough for said:

Nadine O’Dowd, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said:
