Luke secures top job at East Wales

17 November 2022

East Wales region has announced a new strategic land and planning director.

Luke Davies, who rejoined the company in September 2021, has been promoted to strategic land and planning director.

He assumes overall responsibility for the procurement of strategic land across South Wales East.

Commenting on his promotion, Luke, said:

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the past twelve months since returning to the Persimmon fold.

“Lee and the management team have implemented a number of significant changes to the culture and day-to-day operations locally, and we are beginning to see the fruits of that labour.

“I look forward to ensuring Persimmon continues to identify opportunities to deliver quality homes for local people across South East Wales.”

Before returning to the company, Luke spent over three years working within the social housing sector securing land to deliver significant housing and regeneration projects across South Wales.

Prior to that period, Luke had spent six year working for Persimmon, starting as a graduate before progressing through the career and numerous land and planning roles.

Congratulating Luke, East Wales managing director, Lee Woodfine, said:

“This is a thoroughly deserved promotion, and a positive step forward for the business.

“Luke has worked incredibly hard since returning to the business, and is a highly talented professional.

“He will oversee the procurement of strategic land for new homes for local people across South East Wales, as we seek to deliver on our vision to be the nation’s leading housebuilder.

“The region has made some positive strides forward over the past 12 months, and Luke’s valued input to the management team has only served to strengthen our operation in East Wales.”
