Major housing development gets underway in Bessacar
26 March 2015
Persimmon Homes Yorkshire has begun work on a new 100 acre site in Bessacarr.
The major new housing development will bring almost 900 new homes to the area and will feature properties by Persimmon Homes as well as its sister brand, Charles Church, with prices starting from £134,999.
We are expecting to hand over the keys to its first residents in June 2015 as Kevin Thubron, sales director at Persimmon Homes Yorkshire, explains.
“This is an exciting project both for us and the Doncaster area. We are not only bringing much-needed new homes to the region but will create new job opportunities as, over the coming years, the development will also feature a village centre with shops, school and retirement accommodation.
“The picturesque development is surrounded by protected woodland, nature parks, reserves, lakes and cycleways and, we believe, combined with its sought-after location, the development will appeal to a real cross-section of buyers, including first-time, growing families and potential investors.
“We are encouraging prospective customers who are prepared to buy off-plan, before a single brick has been laid, to get in touch to land the best deals.
“Buying this way means purchasers can secure their preferred property and location within the development. In addition, reserving at this early stage means customers can truly personalise their home by choosing from a range of fixtures and fittings such as kitchen units, flooring, tiles or accessories.”
A partnership between Persimmon Homes Yorkshire and the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (YWT) will see the Trust take responsibility for the existing ancient woodlands on the site, as well as managing new wetlands and green spaces in perpetuity.
The YWT will help to restore, recreate and reconnect the living woodland landscapes for both the wildlife and the general public and develop the areas to the standard of a high quality nature reserve.
“We are delighted to be working with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to ensure that the environmental needs of the new community will be preserved for years to come.” added Kevin.
The Charles Church showhome is expected to open in March with the Persimmon Homes showhome due to be launched in April.
