Marlow man given key position with national company

16 April 2012

After 17 years in the building industry Andy Dicker, from Marlow, has been appointed to the key role of technical director for one of the country’s biggest house builders.

And now the 37-year-old says he is determined to raise the profile of the technical department at Persimmon Homes Thames Valley.

“The technical department looks after every aspect of work on a development from the pre purchase to final handover,” said Andy.

“It’s one of the key departments and I am determined that we raise its profile.”

Andy graduated from the University of Glamorgan before joining the building industry as a technical trainee.

Since then he has held the posts of design manager and technical manager before getting joining the team at Persimmon Homes Thames Valley.

He added: “I’m delighted to have joined Persimmon Homes and relish the challenge that I’m sure lies ahead of me.”

Ian Menham, managing director of Persimmon Homes Thames Valley, said: “Andy is now an invaluable member of the Persimmon Homes Thames Valley team and I have every confidence that he will achieve great things in his new role.

“It’s a key job but one he will handle very well.”
