Midlands team gives £1,000 cash boost to 31st Northampton Boys Brigade
05 December 2023
A Boys’ Brigade group in Northampton has received a cash boost to help fund the hire of a new minibus for next year’s summer camp, thanks to our Midlands team.
31st Northampton Boys Brigade received a £1,000 donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. Founded in Northampton in 1948, the group provides weekly activities for boys between the ages of 4 - 18, with the highlight of each year being the summer camp. The group has been trying to secure funding to hire a minibus for some time and the donation will go towards the transportation costs to get the boys to summer camp in 2024.
Martin Letts at 31st Northampton Boys Brigade said “We’re absolutely delighted by this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our goal has always been to provide positive experiences for young people and to do this with minimal cost to their families. The money that Persimmon has kindly gifted us will help us to fund the minibus hire, in time for the 2024 summer camp and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands, added “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them. It’s great to be able to provide 31st Northampton Boys Brigade with this donation which will help them to make lasting memories at the next summer camp.”
