Midlands team helps Towcester Town FC kick off their tournaments with £1,000 donation

A Northamptonshire-based football will be kicking off their 2023 tournaments with a donation from our Midlands team.
Towcester Town FC was gifted a £1,000 cash donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds were used to purchase new facilities for the team’s summer tournament, which sees over 1,000 young athletes attend.
The club was founded in 1988 and has 24 teams from under six, to adults, making them one of the largest clubs in South Northamptonshire. The aim of the club are to help local people experience competitive team sport, broaden and develop their footballing skills to improve their confidence, and assist with personal and team discipline. The club has an inclusive ethos where all abilities are encouraged.
Lisa Samiotis, Chair at Towcester Town FC, said: “We’re so grateful for this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our club largely relies on the kindness, time and generosity of our volunteers and sponsors; knowing we’ll be able to host our summer tournament which hosts over 1,000 children is a massive boost as we plan for what the warmer months have in store.
“This kind donation means we will have a big chunk of the facilities we need paid for, so we’re incredibly thankful.”
Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Midlands said: “What we do is about far more than just building quality homes – we’re also committed to providing support and leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities we build in.
“Local sports clubs are a key pillar of communities, allowing local people to come together and work towards a shared goal whilst improving their fitness and sporting ability. It’s a delight to know Towcester Town FC will be able to host their summer tournament his year and we wish them all the best for 2023.”
