A Leicestershire-based youth charity has secured a £5,000 donation to fund a range of new furniture and equipment, thanks to our Midlands team.
Harborough Youth and Community Trust (HYACT) received the funding boost from our Midlands team as part of its Community Champions initiative. HYACT is a small local youth charity with the aim of enabling young people to thrive in themselves, their relationships and the world. The team does this by delivering targeted school groups, open access groups, mentoring and counselling. The young people HYACT work with come from a variety of backgrounds, including care experienced, low income and the LGBTQI+ community.
Ceriann Kelly at Harborough Youth and Community Trust, said: “We at HYACT are so grateful for the amazing generosity of Persimmon Homes, this donation means a lot to our staff, volunteers and young people. Without the support of our community, grant funders and organisations who are willing to make donations such as this we would not be able to continue working to see the young people of Market Harborough thrive.”
Zac Hurst, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s an honour to be able to offer this support to Harborough Youth and Community Trust and we hope those who benefit from the group enjoy the new resources that our support has funded.”
