Miriam and Emma win lockdown art competition
09 June 2020
Two South Wales children used their artistic flare to scoop gift vouchers from Persimmon’s West Wales region.
Our Swansea-based business challenged youngsters to paint or draw the person they missed most because of coronavirus social distancing. The winners were 11-year-old Miriam Angharad James from Llanelli and nine-year-old Emma Sobocinska from Bridgend, who won Amazon vouchers.
Miriam drew a picture of herself and best friend Menna walking hand-on-hand over a field while watching shooting stars. Emma, meanwhile, got the felt tips out to draw a portrait of her best pal Milly.
Sales director Sharon Bouhali said: “The lockdown has been tough for everyone, but especially children who are missing seeing their friends. It was lovely to receive the artwork, it certainly brightened my day. I hope the winners enjoy spending their vouchers.”
