Work has begun on the next phase of a major housing development, near Wakefield, which aims to bring more than 600 new homes over the coming years.Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire has started construction on a further 129 homes at its Kingsbury Meadows site.
Homeowners are also offered a free bicycle voucher or public transport pass, up to the value of £500, as part of a council measure designed to encourage sustainable travel.
Within this next phase of two, three, four and five-bedroom properties there will also be a collection of affordable housing, including a specifically designed wheelchair accessible bungalow.
Just two miles from Wakefield city centre and a 20-minute car journey to Leeds, the development benefits from a host of local amenities, schools, and parklands.
Christopher Hull, managing director at Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire, said: “We are committed to building high quality homes in sought after locations.
“Kingsbury Meadows forms an integral part of our expansion programme in the Wakefield area and we look forward to welcoming more homeowners to the development."
In line with recent Government guidance, the show home remains open. If customers need to make an essential visit, then appointments need to be arranged in advance.
