New apprentices start at our Severn Valley region
24 November 2022

Three new apprentices have started at our Severn Valley region.
Rocco Farr, Robbie Rumsey and Nathan Hamlyn recently started at the award-winning Haywood Village site in Weston-super-Mare.
The development will deliver 2,500 new homes for local families and first-time buyers in the seaside resort, along with two new primary schools and a local centre.
We were also recently named a Top 100 Apprenticeship Employer in the UK Government’s annual rankings for the first time.
Rocco is undertaking a carpentry apprenticeship, while Robbie and Nathan are serving bricklaying apprenticeships.
Welcoming them to site, site manager, Mark Hill said:
“It’s been a pleasure to welcome Rocco, Robbie and Nathan to Haywood Village.
“Our employees love working for an organisation that builds quality and affordable homes for people, realising a new possible for so many.
“Our new intake of apprentices have made an immediate impact and I’m delighted to say have fitted in well to our award-winning environment at Weston-super-Mare.”
Severn Valley Managing Director, Paul Moody, said:
“Construction is the great driver of the South West economy, and our apprenticeship programme has already created many job opportunities for workers on our sites across Severn Valley.
“We’ve seen time and again how apprenticeships have the power to deliver life-changing career opportunities, and we are delighted to welcome Rocco, Robbie and Nathan to the business.
“We believe in growing and developing our own talent, and wish them every success in the coming years at Haywood Village.”
