A much anticipated housing development in Bidford-on-Avon has launched, following huge interest from buyers.
Persimmon Homes South Midlands have now officially opened Bidford Meadows. The 7.29-acre development located on Salford Road consists of 48 private new homes and comprising a mix of one, two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
Carol Selway, head of sales for Persimmon Homes South Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to have opened our brand new site in Bidford-on-Avon. New homes in this area are in high-demand and we’ve already received a lot of interest in the site. The beautiful views on offer at Bidford Meadows really need to be seen in person. Around 25 percent of the site is dedicated to open space, so buyers can expect open, spacious surroundings. If you’re looking to enjoy all the amenities that Stratford has to offer but without the Stratford price-tag then this development is for you.”
Home buyers can also benefit from the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, which means people only need a five percent deposit to buy their own home. A 75 percent mortgage is also needed, with the Government supplying the remaining 20 percent in the form of an equity loan, which is interest and repayment free for the first five years.
Carol added: ““This really will be a fantastic location for people to call home and we anticipate properties will sell fast. I would therefore encourage anyone who is interested to move fast because when they’re gone, they’re gone.”
As part of the planning conditions for the development, Persimmon Homes will also pump around £286,000 into the surrounding community with the fees being split between local primary schools, road improvements as well as a sports pitch provision among the list of work to be carried out.
