A new Graduate has been appointed at our North Midlands region in Leicester.
Stella Pyne, from Market Harborough, has joined the Technical team as a General Management Graduate and will periodically move between core functions, gaining an understanding of what each department contributes to Persimmon Homes.
Before joining us, Stella studied Human Geography at The University of Edinburgh and has also worked within her parents business in the food sector.
Commenting on her appointment Stella said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining Persimmon Homes at a time when they have recently secured their 5 star quality rating. I am joining a great team and I am particularly looking forward to working within various departments and gaining a deeper understanding of the housebuilding industry.
“For many years I have worked in the family business and have gained experience in multiple functions from production, to administration, sales and so on. I can really see the positive impacts that having an understanding of multiple functions of a business can bring and feel fortunate and excited that I am in a rotational graduate scheme with Persimmon Homes.”
Commenting on her appointment, Technical Director Sean Barratt said: “We are delighted Stella has joined the team at an exciting time. She fought off stiff competition to secure this role which is testimony to her desire to do well within this industry. I look forward to working with her over the coming months and watching her build a successful career at Persimmon Homes.”
Stella’s appointment comes at the time where we have recently launched the 'Target 50 initiative' which is an ambition to recruit 50 female apprentices or technical trainees into construction-related roles this year.
Stella’s hobbies outside of work include yoga and spinning.
