New headline sponsor announced for Fife Show
21 March 2023

North Scotland region has been announced as the new headline sponsor for the annual event in Cupar.
Since 1821, the Fife Show has seen hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to Fife to take in one of the nation’s most iconic agricultural events. Held on the outskirts of Cupar, the annual event showcases the best of British livestock breeding and immerses attendees in a variety of experiences – from seeing equipment both old and new up close, to tasting the finest food and drink Fife has to offer.
This year, North Scotland have stepped up to become the show’s first headline sponsor, helping to grow the show’s success and reach new audiences throughout Scotland.
We are one of Scotland’s largest home builders and we're currently investing in communities right across Fife – from Kirkcaldy to Guardbridge. As one of Scotland’s largest employers of bricklaying apprentices, the developments include jobs and training opportunities for local young people.
In addition to supporting this year’s Fife Show, our Community Champions scheme sees each of the 30 offices across the UK donate up to £6,000 every quarter to local charities and organisations that are the lifeblood of local communities. Local groups to have benefited from the scheme include Howe of Fife Rugby Club, Cupar Scouts and Guardbridge Community Council.
This year’s Fife Show takes place on Saturday 20 May and further information is available at: www.fifeshow.com
James MacKay, Managing Director of Persimmon North Scotland, said:
“We’re delighted to be supporting the Fife Show this year, as the first headline sponsor in the show’s 202 year history.
“Persimmon is committed to leaving a positive, lasting legacy in the areas where we operate and we want to help ensure the show goes from strength to strength – bringing people together and showcasing the very best that Fife has to offer.”
James Smith, President of the 2023 Fife Show, said:
“Fife Show is delighted to have the support of new Headline Sponsor, Persimmon Homes.
“Today, the Fife Show, very much a family event, is one of the most popular single day agricultural shows in the country. Whilst retaining the feel of a traditional agricultural event, the Show has extended its activities into the realms of wider environment and related countryside issues to appeal to a broader audience, ensuring the event provides something of interest for everyone.
“Persimmon Homes’ sponsorship will help the Show to continue to grow and thrive; showcasing Fife’s diverse agricultural heritage and produce whilst providing a great day out for all the family for generations to come.”
