New Homes Approved in North Yorkshire town
We have been given the go ahead to build the final phase on the North Northallerton housing development.
38 more homes will be built ranging from 1 bed through to 3-bed detached.
Built to new building regulations, the homes will be zero carbon ready and benefit from improved energy efficiency, helping reduce energy bills for homeowners.
All homes will come fitted with electric vehicle chargers and solar panels.
The site will provide a 10% net gain overall in biodiversity value and includes public open space for residents.
As part of planning approvals for the development, Persimmon has contributed around £1 million to the local authority to go towards local education provision and transport infrastructure.
This funding has contributed towards the building of a new bridge over the railway connecting Darlington Road and Stokesley Road.
Sean Taylor, Managing Director of Persimmon Teesside, said: “We’re delighted that North Yorkshire Councillors have granted approval for the final phase of our development in Northallerton.
“With the shortage of housing rightly high up the political agenda, we’re pleased to be able to help local homebuyers in and around Northallerton find their perfect new home.”
