New homes coming to Essex following purchase at Wyvern Farm

A dual-branded development of Persimmon and Charles Church homes is to be built in Stanway, Colchester.

The Essex business has completed the land purchase of Phase 5 at Wyvern Farm, and with outline planning permission for 505 new homes already secure they are now working on a detailed planning layout for the site.

They plan to showcase the reinvigorated Charles Church brand with 114 high specification new homes, benefitting from open plan layouts on the ground floor, bi-fold doors, kitchen islands and luxurious bathrooms.

The development will offer 104 homes for those whose needs are not met by the open market offering a mix of shared ownership homes and homes for affordable rent.

The outline application includes allocated land for a new primary school, and through the Section 106 agreement the developer will contribute £7.5m for community benefits.

The latest scheme will offer individual show homes for each brand with separate sales offices to distinguish between them.

The Essex team will be submitting their detailed planning layout in coming weeks.
