New kit for Preston players
17 November 2020
A Preston junior football team will proudly sport new winter training kit and rain jackets thanks to a £1,000 donation from Persimmon.
Newly-formed Pirates JFC under-7s have been awarded the funding through the Community Champions scheme.
Diane Finch, sales director for Persimmon Lancashire, said: “Youth sports teams are under real pressure at the moment, with many fundraising activities on hold and lots of local sponsors feeling the pinch, so we are proud to be able to help a community club like Pirates JFC.
“We look forward to seeing them in their smart new kit.”
Pirates JFC is a voluntary run, non-profit making community youth football club located in Leyland, Lancashire, with the majority of players coming from within the South Ribble area.
The club’s vision is to produce players that will play to their best ability, enjoy the game of football amongst friends and love the game of football in the future.
Persimmon Homes Lancashire makes two donations of up to £1,000 every month. The online application form can be found at www.persimmonhomes.com/charity
