New phase of housing to launch at Swindon development
03 September 2020
Persimmon Homes Wessex has acquired land to launch a new phase of development in Swindon, which will provide a further 56 much-needed new homes for the area.
A continuation of Persimmon Homes Wessex’s existing Badbury Park development, the new phase will consist of three and four-bedroom properties, including 14 affordable homes, in response to an increase in demand for affordable, new build homes.
The development located on the northern edge of Coate Water Country Park immediately attracted buyers when the developer started construction in June 2014.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director for Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “The mix of properties in the latest phase have been carefully considered to provide homes for people at all stages of the property ladder, from young professionals to families and those downsizing later in life.”
“Following the launch of our site in Purton earlier this year, we have seen that there is a huge demand for new build housing in Swindon, as this site continues to sell quickly. Our homes at Badbury Park proved extremely popular, so we are delighted to announce that work is well underway on our latest phase to help meet the demand.”
“Preliminary work will begin imminently on site and we hope to have a show home open in the Spring with new properties available mid-September.”
Badbury Park offers something for everyone in a sought-after location close to Old Town Swindon with its great selection of shops, restaurants and wine bars. Ambitious plans are also in place to electrify the Great Western mainline, which will increase the number of trains from Swindon to London as well as slashing journey times.
