New show home opens at Gorseinon development

A new two-and-a-half storey view home has opened its doors at a development in Gorseinon.
Building work is in full swing at the site off Gower View Road, where Persimmon Homes West Wales is building 95 houses. The development, known as Llys Meredith, already has a three bedroom semi-detached Hanbury style show home.
And now Persimmon is inviting people to look around the three bedroom Souter style property, giving people the chance to sample the extra flexibility that a second floor can bring. The Souter has a lounge, kitchen/dining room and toilet on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. Up a second flight of stairs is the third bedroom with en suite.
Sharon Robinson, sales director for Persimmon Homes West Wales, said an extra floor can be particularly useful for families with teenagers, large families or for those who work from home. She said: “The Souter is a cracking property that would really suit some families. For example, families with teenagers will understand that they need their privacy but they are not ready to fly the nest. An extra floor could be the perfect middle ground. In the same way, that extra space allows large families to spread out without stepping on each other’s toes.
It can also be a solution for those who work at home and need somewhere quiet to get down to business away from the chaos of the rest of the house. This new view home gives people the chance to look around and imagine life on three floors.”
Llys Meredith has proved to be a popular development with just 38 houses now left. Many people have made use of the popular Help to Buy – Wales scheme. Under the initiative, the purchaser produces a five per cent deposit and the Government steps in with a 20 per cent equity loan, leaving a 75 per cent mortgage.
Sharon added: “With Help to Buy – Wales many people find they can afford a bigger property than they thought. At £132,995, the Souter might not be out of reach.”
