New showhome opens on final phase of Bridgend project

A stunning new showhome has opened its doors as part of our major development in Bridgend.
We’re delighted to cut the ribbon on our brand new four-bedroom Coniston style showhome at Tir Y Bont, part of the vast 1,600 property Parc Derwen scheme in Coity.
The fully decorated property will give house hunters the chance to see first-hand the type of homes available on the final phase of the development after more than a decade of construction.
Sharon Bouhali, sales director at West Wales, said: “We’re delighted to open the doors to our stunning showhome at Tir Y Bont.
“Parc Derwen is one of the biggest residential developments in South Wales history. Work started in 2008 and more than 1,500 properties have now been completed.
“This last phase, Tir Y Bont, is bringing a further selection of 106 two, three and four-bedroom homes to the market and they are proving extremely popular.
“A showhome is always an important milestone in a development’s lifecycle. It’s one thing looking at plans on a piece of paper but walking into a real house really brings it to life and allows people to envisage how their home could look should they buy with us.
“I’m sure people will be impressed with the property we’ve designed at Tir Y Bont.”
A well sized and modern detached home, The Coniston ticks all the boxes for family living.
The stylish open plan kitchen/family room is perfect for spending time as a family and entertaining. There's also a well-proportioned living room, separate dining room, downstairs cloakroom and handy utility with outside access.
Upstairs there are four bedrooms – one of which is ensuite - a large family-sized bathroom and a storage cupboard.
The Government-backed Help to Buy – Wales scheme is available at Tir Y Bont, an initiative where buyers only need a five per cent deposit.
One house buyer who did just that is 24-year-old Kim Hunter, who saved hard to purchase a two-bedroom terrace style property at the development.
The research officer said: “I’ve been saving up since my 18th birthday so it feels amazing to have the keys to my first home. I’m the youngest in the family so I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved.”
