New showhome opens on in-demand development
18 May 2015
Persimmon Homes is delighted to announce the opening of its new show home on the historic St Andrew’s Park development in Uxbridge.
The announcement comes on the back of sales success on the first phase of development at the prestigious site renowned for Hillingdon House, where No 11 Group, responsible for the aerial defence of London and the south-east of England during World War Two, was based.
A bunker, subsequently known as the Battle of Britain Bunker, was built nearby to house the 11 Group Operations Room, which controlled fighter squadron operations. The Operations Room was also responsible for providing air support during the evacuation of Dunkirk in May 1940 and the D-Day Landings.
It is not surprising then, that it was here that Sir Winston Churchill famously gave his wartime speech, “Never was so much owed by so many to so few.” The history-steeped former RAF base is now being developed to include homes, a large park, school, theatre and all amenities necessary for modern living.
Persimmon sales advisors, Anna Jordan and Eva Durisovia, said: "St Andrew’s Park offers homes to suit every taste and budget, from one-bedroom apartments to three-bedroom detached houses. Whether you’re a first-time buyer, a family ready for the next step, looking to downsize or considering buying as an investment, St Andrew’s Park will have the perfect home for you.
"There has been huge interest in this development and we are looking forward to the success of the next phase with the opening of our new three-bedroom showhome, The Lawrence II. With prices starting at £319,950 and a range of offers and incentives available, we are confident that the next stage of St Andrew’s Park will prove very popular."
