A Leicestershire primary school has secured a £6,000 donation to fund a range of new resources, thanks to our North Midlands region.
Fleckney Church of England Primary School received the £6,000 funding boost from the team as part of its Community Champions initiative.
The funding that the North Midlands region has given to the school will enable them to purchase a range of new books as well as sensory toys for SEN pupils, gardening tools and cooking items, helping to support the pupils’ development as the school expands and welcomes more students.
Mr T Leah, Head Teacher at Fleckney Church of England Primary School said: “We are so grateful to Persimmon Homes and their kind donation of £6,000 via their Community Champions Fund. The support that Persimmon has given us will allow us to purchase a whole range of new resources for the school as we welcome new pupils in the next academic year.”
Nadine O’Dowd, Sales Director at North Midlands region, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local schools and community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s an honour to be able to offer this support to Fleckney Church of England Primary School, and we hope the pupils enjoy their new resources.”
