North Midlands team gives £1,000 cash boost to cancer wellbeing charity

An organisation which promotes exercise and wellbeing when living with – and beyond – cancer has secured a donation from our North Midlands team.
MOVE received a £1,000 funding boost from the team as part of our Community Champions initiative. Established in 2016 by international athlete Gemma Hillier-Moses, after she was diagnosed with cancer in 2012, the charity works with a range of organisations to promote the benefits of exercise and movement when dealing with the disease.
Gemma Hillier-Moses, Founder of MOVE, said: “We are so grateful to Persimmon Homes and their kind donation of £1,000 via their Community Champions Fund. The support that Persimmon has given us will allow us to continue to empower individuals affected by cancer to move in any way they can to assist with their mental and physical health when affected by cancer.”
Nadine O’Dowd, Sales Director at our North Midlands region, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”
“It’s an honour to be able to offer this support to MOVE whose work helps to promote physical and mental wellbeing during times of illness.”
