North Midlands team gives £3,000 cash boost to Dishley Residents Association
13 July 2023

A residents association based in Loughborough has received a £3,000 donation from our North Midlands team, helping them to host their annual community fun day in August.
Dishley Residents Association received the donation as part of our Community Champions initiative. The funds will be used help the group run the event for 2023. Known as Picnic in the Park, the one-day event is hosted on Bunny Hill and in the past has featured a dog show, entertainment by a local choir, a nature treasure hunt, bouncy castles and local craft stalls.
Mike Riley at Dishley Residents Association said: “We’re absolutely delighted by this kind donation from Persimmon Homes. Our goal has always been to create a vibrant community day, which provides the people of Loughborough with lots of opportunities for socialising and fostering community spirit.
“The money that Persimmon has kindly gifted us has gone towards making sure Picnic in the Park can happen again in 2023, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
Sean Barratt, Technical Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “We’re delighted to show our support to Dishley Residents Association. What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their events that allow people in the local area to come together.”
