North Midlands team helps to spark creativity in pupils at Nuneaton school

A primary school in Nuneaton has had a creative start to February, thanks to a design competition run by our North Midlands team.
Pupils at Milby Primary School – based near the Eaton Place development in Nuneaton – were tasked with putting their own stamp on the development’s play area, with a wildlife themed logo and name. The entries were judged by the team, with the ceremony marked by a visit to the school. The judges were blown away by the imagination and creativity shown by the pupils.
The winning entry, entitled ‘Let’s have a wild time’, was awarded to Layyaanah Ahmedabadi and will be recreated on a plaque which will take pride of place on the entrance of the play area.
Matthew Archer, Headteacher at Milby Primary School, said: “The children relished the opportunity to use their creative and artistic skills to design the park's name and logo. We are incredibly proud that Layyaanah's unique design will be brought to life in a place that will provide so much enjoyment for our local community.”
Nadine O’Dowd, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to work with local schools and community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives and help get their creativity flowing.
“It was great to pay a visit to Milby Primary School and see so much artistic talent.”
