North Midlands welcomes Jacob Collier MP to Burton community
11 December 2024
Our North Midlands team welcomed the new MP for Burton and Uttoxeter to its Beamhill Heights community in Burton-on-Trent to hear about its work in delivering high quality homes for local people.
Jacob Collier MP was given a tour of the development, meeting with the team to discuss the opportunities and challenges facing the housing sector.
Jacob Collier, MP for Burton and Uttoxeter, said: “It was a pleasure to meet with Dan and Jon of Persimmon Homes to visit the new Beamhill Heights development in Burton. I’m pleased to hear that Persimmon’s commitment to build in Burton will see more affordable and accessible housing available for those wanting to live in the area. The development has also created many employment opportunities for local residents, which is news that I welcome.”
The team has recently received approval for 190 new homes on Beamhill Road, located to the north of the Staffordshire town. This latest approval forms part of our wider community within the Beamhill Sustainable Urban Extension - in partnership with Bloor Homes - and brings with it a range of community benefits – including £1.9m pledged to education, £123,498 to healthcare and £67,915 to sports provision.
Dan Endersby, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, said: “It was great to welcome Jacob to our Beamhill Heights development, to demonstrate the work we’re doing to deliver affordable, quality homes for people in and around the area.
“We’re committed to working closely with consultees and decision makers throughout the process of creating our developments, from the initial land purchase to the final occupation on site. We look forward to continuing our work with key stakeholders in Staffordshire going forwards.”
