Nottingham team gives £5,000 donation to Footprints Conductive Education Centre

08 June 2023

A children’s disability charity has secured a £5,000 donation from our Nottingham team, helping them to continue their work in and around the county.

Footprints Conductive Education Centre received the funding as part of our Community Champions initiative. The charity supports children living with a range of conditions which cause mobility and communication difficulties, including Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome. Through Conductive Education and other services, in a safe, supportive and positive environment, children and their families develop the skills to thrive and achieve their potential.

The donation from will go towards Footprints Conductive Education Centre being able to support the young people it works with throughout 2023, helping the children who benefit from their services to develop their physical, communication, social, self-help, and thinking skills.

Stephen Frew, Charity and Business Manager at Footprints Conductive Education Centre, said: “We believe every child should have the best start in life, and a chance to reach their full potential. The work that we do helps the children that spend time with us to walk, to sing, to play, and to make friends – ultimately, transforming their lives through conductive education.

“This kind donation from Persimmon Homes will help us to continue our work supporting the young people we work with."

Gareth Hankin, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Nottingham, said: “What we do is about much more than just building homes, it’s about leaving a lasting positive legacy in the communities that we build in. We’re always delighted to lend a hand to local community groups to boost their ongoing initiatives or contribute to causes that mean a lot to them.”

“It’s an honour to be able to offer this £5,000 donation to Footprints Conductive Education Centre to help them continue their vital work throughout Nottinghamshire.”
