One family - two house moves
03 January 2013
A mother and daughter who bought separate homes at the same housing development have given their families twice as much furniture and boxes to pack by moving in on the same day.Stephanie Mason and Victoria Mason both purchased homes at Persimmon’s Thinford Gardens development before deciding to complete their respective moves within the same 24-hours.
Daughter Victoria bought her first home, a semi-detached Penrose two bedroom home, with the help of the FirstBuy Government backed scheme.
She said: “I was looking for a new property in this area and found this development after some searching on the internet. The Penrose was just what I was looking for, especially with the special offer of £99.00 to reserve!
“The location of the development is perfect and it’s has great transport links and local amenities. “
Victoria’s mother Stephanie and her partner were able to purchase a detached, four bedroom Winster home using Persimmon’s Part Exchange Plus scheme.
Stephanie added: “I love the position of the site, just near the main A1 road. The development is not too big either.
“The idea of having a new home and all its benefits was just overwhelming. Everything was brand new and therefore only low maintenance needed.
“It was a very impulsive buy for us and we don’t normally make decisions so quickly. However, from reserving the house to moving in only took three months, and we certainly do not regret that quick decision in any way.”
In addition to the Masons two more families have also purchased multiple properties at Thinford Gardens joining the new family-friendly community.
Thinford Gardens is a new build development of desirable two, three and four bedroom homes in Spennymoor, County Durham.
Spennymoor is a thriving local community located close to many local amenities, with a range of shops and supermarkets in the town centre.
