Opening day at The Print Works development proves a big success
15 March 2016
Six homes sold on day one at The Print Works, a former newspaper printing press development.
The soft launch of the much anticipated Persimmon Homes development The Print Works saw six homes sold in the first few hours.
The housing project is being built on the former site of the Peterborough Telegraph’s Printing Press in Peterborough and has been in extremely high demand.
More than 380 people registered their interest for 60 available properties at the development on Oundle Road in Woodston. Within 15 minutes of opening to the public on Saturday, January 30th, a customer had reserved a wonderful new home.
Steven Allenby, director of sales at Persimmon Homes East Midlands, said: "We always knew that The Print Works was going to be popular and I’m delighted at the response of the public.
These are beautiful homes in a fantastic location with great tradition and we expect the houses to sell fast.
Almost 400 people have now registered their interest and I would encourage anyone who wishes to make their dream move to The Print Works to do the same so they don’t miss out."
The Print Works is currently closed to the public while scheduled works to provide roadways around the site are completed. It is set to re-open in late February/early March with the launch of phase 2.
The development offers a range of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes with prices starting from £156,950.
Persimmon Homes is also building elsewhere in the city at the Cardea development with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes on offer.
