Over 200 new homes given the green light at Weston Airfield

North Somerset Council has approved a reserved matters planning application for 207 new quality homes in Weston-super-Mare.
The 207 houses will be developed by Persimmon Homes Severn Valley, as part of the wider 2,500-home Haywood Village site. As part of the scheme it will deliver affordable homes as including an equipped children’s play area. Commenting, Persimmon Homes Severn Valley Managing Director Paul Moody said: “We’re pleased to have secured permission to begin construction on the next phase of our Haywood Village development. “We are proud of the progress we have made on site so far and continue to be excited by the vision we have for the area, extending from quality homes to community facilities, which will deliver a positive and lasting legacy. “Our homes will help meet the housing need of the local area, demonstrated in our commitment to cater to a variety of households and tenures. “Persimmon is grateful to officers at North Somerset Council who have worked constructively with us throughout this process and shared our ambitions at Haywood Village.” Persimmon’s significant presence in the area has included donations from its Community Champions scheme Recent local beneficiaries have included Weston Jets Baseball Club, Haywood Village Academy and Weston-super-Mare foodbank. |
