Persimmon Homes has one property left at popular Chelmsford development

Just one property is left at a Saxon Gate development in Chelmsford.
Kim Oates, Head of Sales, said: “House hunters need to act quickly if they want to be part of the new community we have created there.
Managers at Persimmon Homes Essex have seen huge demand at Saxon Gate development as house hunters reap the benefits of buying new.
There are many reasons why people decide to buy new rather than opting for older properties, not least the significant fuel savings and the ease of purchase as there is no upward chain.
For legal costs consultant Simon McCarthy, it was the fact that he could start working and living in his new home straight away without the need for any DIY or alterations.
Simon, 42, recently bought a four-bedroom detached house at Saxon Gate and moved in within four weeks.
He said: “I had been looking to buy for the best part of the year. I was so taken aback by what was on offer at Saxon Gate so I just went for it.
“I wanted to buy new as I work from home so I needed the move to be as smooth as possible. Everything is tastefully decorated in a neutral way and there’s no need for any building work or renovations.
I’m absolutely thrilled with the house. The quality of the build and the finishing touches are very impressive.”
Simon had been living in rental properties in the Chelmsford area while he saved money for his “forever home”.
He added: “I’d looked at another development nearby but the prices were very high and you got very little for your money. I was impressed by the sheer value of the Persimmon properties and things moved very fast.”
Other advantages of buying new include great incentives, including the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme, increased security measures and a warranty period.
