Persimmon Homes helps family sell in a week

A family were delighted to receive an offer on their house before the ‘for sale’ signs even went up after taking advantage of Persimmon Homes Home Change scheme.
Simon Suleman (34) and his wife Laura needed a bigger house with a baby on the way.
They knew they had to act fast to secure the three-bedroom home so turned to Persimmon’s Home Change initiative.
“We knew we had to sell our existing property quickly to secure the plot but it was amazing how fast it all happened,” said Simon.
“We had two estate agents come round and one of them said that they may have someone interested even before it was advertised.
“We had one viewing and we took the offer. They whole process happened in less than a week.
“I’d certainly recommend it to anyone looking to sell a property.”
The family made the 10-mile move from Braintree to Stanway in mid-March – and it turned out to be just in the nick of time as baby Bradley was born just a week later.
Simon said: “It was a big relief that we were able to get into the house before Bradley arrived.
“We are settling in really well and it’s a lovely area.
“We were concerned about selling our old home because we knew that even though the housing market has improved, it can sometimes take ages.
“Without using the Home Change scheme we might not have been able to secure the house that we wanted in Nightingale Gardens.
“It really took a lot of the stress away.”
The Persimmon Home Change scheme uses the company’s expertise and contacts to sell customers’ current homes. Sales advisors arrange at least two estate agent valuations and agree a price with the customer. They then appoint the estate agents to market the property, all without any agent fees for the customer.
Norman Sharpe, sales director of Persimmon Homes Essex, said: “We know it can be a little frustrating waiting for the sale of a property and many customers lose the opportunity to buy their dream home as a result, but our Home Change scheme can help remove this uncertainty making moving home an altogether much calmer experience.”
Persimmon Homes has announced a second phase to its Nightingale Gardens development, providing a further 101 much-needed new homes for the area.
The new phase will consist of two bedroom apartments, and three and four bedroom properties, including 20 affordable homes.
