Persimmon Homes Suffolk is handing over vital funding to support a popular sporting event.
Framlingham Lawn Tennis Tournament will receive £1,000 through the Persimmon Homes Community Champions scheme.
The national match-funding initiative was set up to support the charities and organisations working to improve the quality of life or environment for local people.
Simon Wood, director in charge of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “Local events help to cement a real sense of community so we are delighted to support this popular annual tournament. We wish all the players, and the organisers, a very successful competition.”
A registered charity, the annual Framlingham Lawn Tennis Tournament attracts more than 450 competitors aged from under eight to over 75. This year’s 125th tournament takes place in the grounds of Framlingham College from 6-11 August and entry is free for spectators. For more information visit www.framlinghamtennis.org.uk
