Persimmon Homes supports school productions

19 December 2014

Persimmon Lancashire brought a little extra festive cheer to a local school’s end of term celebrations, with a £200 community fund donation.

The region supported Whitworth Community High School’s production of ‘Grease’ and Christmas Concert, two important events in the school calendar.

Diane Finch, sales and marketing director of Persimmon Homes Lancashire, said: “We take great pleasure in working with the local community wherever we build, and Whitworth Community High School is just a short walk from our Healey Walk development on Hall Street.

“Whitworth is a close-knit town, and we are pleased to be able to support the school in what are clearly two very important events for the students and their families.”

Healey Walk is a development of two, three, four and five bedroom homes to suit young professionals, growing families and mature downsizers, all within easy reach of scenic countryside as well as major towns and cities including Leeds and Manchester.

Properties range from the two bedroom ‘Mordern’ semi-detached house available at £114,995 to a spacious three-storey, five bedroom ‘Barrington’ family home with an integral garage for £242,995*.

The Help to Buy scheme is available at Healey Walk, enabling buyers to reserve a property for just a five per cent deposit and a mortgage for 75 per cent, with the Government providing an equity loan for the remainder.

Whitworth Community High School director of creativity Debbie Goff added: “Participating in public performances like the musical and concert is an excellent way of developing students’ confidence and preparing them for successful lives outside school.

Many of the families moving into the new houses at Healey Walk have students at our school, so we are grateful to our neighbour, Persimmon Homes, for their donation towards the cost of putting on our end-of-term shows.”
