Persimmon Homes West Scotland has successfully secured the land for a £90 million new development in the village of Monkton, South Ayrshire.
Persimmon Homes West Scotland purchased the 35 acres of agricultural land off Kilmarnock Road and Tarbolton Road to make way for what will be the largest new build development built in the area in the last 5 years.
Planning approval for 286 new homes at the site named Fairfields, was granted by South Ayrshire Council in October 2019 and work on site is expected to get underway in Summer 2020.
Persimmon Homes is delighted to move the project forward and welcomes interest from house hunters across Ayrshire and beyond, as Doug Law, Regional Managing Director for Persimmon Homes in Scotland, explained: “This site is an integral part of our expansion programme and we are delighted to take the next step towards building new houses that meet the needs of the local housing market and community.
“Our investment in Monkton will include a range of three, four and five-bedroom homes with 50 affordable homes and the creation of a new pedestrian walkway from Kilmarnock Road to Tarbolton Road. Also included in our proposals are the creation of wildflower meadows and maintained open space to further enhance the wider development.”
“In addition to our investment in the creation of the new Fairfields development we are providing a Section 75 investment of around £1.9 million towards education and road/sustainability improvements.”
To be among the first to find out more about these homes at this early build stage, house hunters’ are invited to register their interest on our website website.
